Cold winter/fronts

I just saw this new map and am wondering if the UK gets similar cold weather predictions? For me here this might mean excellent viewing-thanks La Nina!  We will see though, at times it can also bring the snow with the cold. So far we have had -23c this November and the high today is -9c.

Are there places in the UK that gets these clear cold fronts?

The Cairngorms N/E Scotland can experience artic conditions, though not usually to that extent Gerry and not in November. There is snow and colder weather forecast at least for parts of Scotland, some decent cold winter nights would be welcome, could be some way off -23 though.

In the U.K. we are lucky enough to be at the convergence of 6 different weather fronts which means the weather seems to change every 6 minutes. 3 of the fronts - the African, Eurasian and arctic fronts can often bring good conditions, but most of our weather comes from the south west eg the Atlantic, so it’s generally wet, mild and rubbish. Epic weather rarely happens, and three UK cities Manchester, London and Birmingham are in the top 10 cloudiest places in Europe. Yes it’s the perfect hobby for round these parts.
