Can anyone tell me what this 12.8 megapixel full frame camera is like for astro work?

Hi Jack101, the 5DMK1 is also a good full frame camera for astro work, I would not try to find focus with the camera it has no live view, you need then a software for imaging with the camera and to be able to focus and else,  there are few good softwares like APT, BYE OS to control EOS cameras. If you already have a scope and a mount, just go ahead and try the 5DMK1 and see how the performance is.. if you have one already..

If you want to buy one, then read the thread, also to be fiund here in this forum...
