dew heater and a few other bits

i had my first session on thursday with my new scope nut after a hour the front misted up 

so i decided i needed a dew heater

so i made this one

but i don't like the idea of separate controllers and i already have a power tank 

so i made this in to the back of the power tank

How did you determine the amount and size of wire to use in the dewstrap. I'm looking to make my own but getting a little lost. Electronics are not my best subject and I just found out the there are different 0hm/m with the same awg ratings if using nichrome.
