Is the SGL server slowing down?

Not sure if this is the right topic for the Lounge and maybe it has already been discussed, but I have noticed lately that when I click on images here it takes quite a long time before it flips over to high-resolution and I get the magnifying glass icon. Has anyone else noticed this and can if be fixed?

I've not noticed this and there are no issues with the server or server speed.

When you click on the high resolution version then you have to wait for your computer to download it so this could suggest a speed issue between you and SGL - particularly as some of the images can be very big.

I had a problem downloading Michael's Lunar hi res image today to my phone i.e. It would not! I put that down to my phone rather that the server/SGL though.

That Lunar image is 27mb+ so that'll be why - it took quite awhile to download for me too!

Yes, I assumed it was pretty huge!
