And it's here at last . Fresh from the disappointment of gathering a whole load of data on Friday night only to find out it's ruined by unclean surfaces and despite my parents visiting yesterday and not getting subtle hints ("Mum! Dad! GO HOME!!" while throwing their shoes at them), last night was another clear night and so my final assult on this object. Pleased to say it's well worth it and I'm well happy with the outcome.

So, NGC 6888 - the Crescent Nebula. Grand total of 3hrs 54 mins exposure time (39 x 6mins) taken with an Atik 16HR with an Astronomik 13 Nm filter through a WO ZS110, guided by a QHY5 through a WO ZS66 with PHD doing the hard work. All atop an EQ6 pro, stacked in DSS and processed in photoshop.

I've got two versions of the processing for you. The first one is a a bit forced, perhaps a little garish.

And this one is my preference, more natural looking but still showing plenty of detail.

Heh Heh!, I like your "Get thee Gone" tactics Tony, Didn't work sadly.

You through a lot at this one mate, and it has paid dividends.

I agree on the second one, a more natural appearance. Very good work, the progress is relentless.

Ron. :salute:
