November 6, 2017: Colourful Aristarchus

Grabbed some data in RGB using the ASI224MC rather than the ASI178MM I use for my big mosiacs (one cooking right now). I have always been intrigued by the weird colours around Aristarchus, so I grabbed a detail shot at prime focus with the C8, and pushed colour a bit. Quite pleased with the result

Seeing was quite jittery, but quite a bit of detail shows

Very nice, I always thought the moon was just "shades of grey" until a few years back.

As Pete says above I never realised there was colour to be seen on the moon 'til I started looking at the images on the forum.
