25585
Being 6 ft 2 ins tall I am unable to find a tall sturdy telescopic monopod with pan head for my big binoculars to look upward keeeping a straight back. Are there any such made or if not telescopic then collapsible?
michael.h.f.wilkinson
I am VERY happy with the one I showed off here: The Benro MAD49A monopod stretches to 191 cm. This is ample for me at 5'11", especially because you add the length of the pistol grip as well. Really pleased with ths combo
DirkSteele
Like Michael I have a monopod and joystick pistol grip. My monopod is from Giottos and as I recall max height is 190cm (the joystick adds quite a bit more) such that I do not need it fully extended when in use. I am 5' 11". It was only about £20 from Amazon as I recall.
Damo636
I'm also using the Giottos 3290b with the Manfrotto 222 (I'm 6' 1") and it's more than tall enough. The 222 trigger grip can be picked up used for around £40. I've also had one of these and found it more than adequate for a 70mm binocular..... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01M8FQU5E/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1509116834&sr=8-9&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Pistol+grip+ball+head https://www.cameraking.co.uk/giottos-mml3290b-5-section-professional-monopod/
