New tellescope

Hi all I'm just wondering what tellescope i should get between celestron astromaster 76Az/ celestron gastro master 114EQ

Can we have some idea of your budget and what you intend to view? ...and do you intend to do photography now or later?

Hi I have about £300 and intend to view stars planets and yeah I would like to photographes at some point

For £300 I would buy an 8" dob and forget both astrophotography and the two scopes you have suggested, neither which should be anywhere near your budget.

Don't try to do your visual and your astrophoto with the same scope; the requirements are too different, especially for the mount. Visual requires big heavy tubes on simple mounts, these tubes are tough to guide accurately for imaging. Photo is mainly done with small tubes on techie mounts, the opposite of visual.

[Astro Imp]

+2 for the 8" Dob, a great scope, will give good views of many objects.
