M27 - HOO

M27 in HOO palette 7nm Ha captured evening of 10/19/17 & Oiii captured evening 10/21/17.  Equipment - Losmandy G11 mount, 152mm refractor, .7 reducer/flattener, zwo asi 174mm (non cooled) camera, capture software Sharp Cap, Guide camera Orion SSAG (PHD2 guide program), slewing to destinations I use stellarium scope - Gemini Ascom Driver.

1.  16 subs Ha / Oiii, 16 darks, 40 bias.  Camera settings lights & darks Gain 248, Gamma 45, 5 min fits @ f5.6, 840mm fl.

2.  Processing basic as it gets.  Processed Ha / Oiii separately in Nebulocity, subtracting darks / bias then stacking, stretching and synthetic field flattener to help some gradient in ha.

3.  Due to imaging different nights / times, took each final stretched image and aligned in Nebulocity by translation / rotation (selecting a couple stars in corners of both images), saved as individual images.

4.  Combined Ha & Oiii final images, used color synthesis in Nebulocity to add Ha image in Red of RGB / Oiii in Green and Blue of RGB.

5.  Lastly, sharpened image in Photoshop - reduced some noise.
