PST 40 DS vs Lunt 50?

Hello,

 I am looking for a small and maneageable solar scope, like the PST 40 or the Lunt 50, mmm! but the Lunt 50 B600 have a cost of 1500 Euro versus 1700 PST 40 Double stacked !!

Anyone have using the PST 40 double stacked ??

I bought my PST in 2005 and it has been an excellent purchase. I have viewed a Total Eclipse, two Annular Eclipses, Venus and Mercury Transits never mind the pleasure of viewing the Sun in Ha light. In the summer I obtained a Double Stack unit and the difference is magnificent. However, because the scope is only 40mm the DS does reduce the lever of brightness. In this respect I use a black out cover to improve the view.

I am told that the PST + DS gives better surface detail than the single Lunt 50 although I have never compared the scopes side by side so cannot confirm this..

Do you think that the DS system would affect the visual observation of the proms ??
That is, there are visual differences when using the DS or when not, in the proms. ?
