A comedy of errrors!

Its getting to that time of the year where Solar imaging opportunities are becoming very few and far between. Sunrise at around 7:15, start work at 7:45, enough time to catch a quick image. Well it was and considering I hadn't allowed for the lamp post/war of the worlds tripod in the way and the flat battery powering my mount, I was lucky to get anything.

Seeing conditions were  pretty poor with the low altitude and wind. 1st image is a heavily cropped close up with the Evostar120mm/Asi120mm-s, the 2nd with my camera phone held over the eyepiece when lining up as the Sun rose. There is a hint of one of the Sunspots and the 1st image had a bird perched on the lamp :icon_biggrin:

All good fun, clouded out for the rest of the day.
