Martinscroft
Just joined the site. attended a stargazing event with Robert Ince at Mere sands recently. couldnt believe the amount of stars even meteors I could see compared to where I live which was only 25 mins away from where I live. im now well hooked. ive only got binoculars at the moment as I need to learn the sky. Would like a telescope but will wait and seek advice as their are loads and it’s mind boggling trying at my stage to sort it out. however I was amazed at what I could see through the bins, opened up a new world to me. Charic
Wide angle binoculars are a great for observing the night sky, I grab my 8x40's when I just want to look around, even when I'm out with the scope, but the scope will provide the finer details. Welcome to the SGL.
