aurora flat field panels

Recommended Posts

anygood? I seem to hear mixed reviews so I think the battery one would be better, I am only using an ED 80 so it wont be that expensive. At the moment I am using a flat panel on the wall of my obsy but im not convinced its doing its job to be honest so I was wondering if anyone uses the aurora ones and are they worth it

thanks

All just reads as marketing spiel to me... they’re cherry picking EL panels, but I’m yet to see any external independent review that goes into any further depth than “I bought one and it works”, generally from folks for whom it’s their first flat box. Just all seems excessively pricey for cherry picked EL panels with no empirical test evidence published anywhere either from themselves or externally to back up the claim.

I’d be more tempted to go with http://elwirecraft.co.uk/el-how-to-and-tips/el-panel/el-panel-for-flat-field-correction-in-astrophotography/ simply because they’ve actually posted an analytical map of a brightness distribution from an independent 3rd party.

Might be worth a search of older threads on here for comparisons - eg:
