A lovely shot indeed. :)

A happy memory of Butter Tubs, whilst in the back of an Austin A40 in 1970 I got a fly in my right ear. I can still hear it now that you remind me.

Yes, that's our Milky Way, and I do like Mono Images, but that's not to say I don't like colour. I'm sure this would be just as nice coloured too. I find deep sky nebulous areas more dramatic in Mono.   This MW. Out looks as though some Milk has leaked out on to the road, and formed a stream ?.

@Daniel-K there is some colour in this...not much though!

It was a good way to help control the light pollution and does give it a more realistic 'as seen' look?
