Another early morning attempt at Venus. Still not a huge amount of detail on display. The seeing was once again very poor hopefully I will get a chance to image Venus well into daylight one weekend, my best UV images have been in daylight when is nearer the meridian.

The usual set up C9.25/ASI120mm + Baader UV filter. 25,000 frames 10% stacked in A/S2.

Reggie -

If you like Venus (The Onion-Planet, as I call it), do take a stroll through this recent thread:

Us Venus-Fans seem to be a rather rare breed - driven by an ineffable curiosity of things that are seemingly impossible to truly know.

Thanks for another attempt at peeling the 'Onion' here, Pete!

Keep going -

Dave

The conditions looked very good on Sunday 24th, clear blue skies, calm, no jet stream. If only it was that simple!

No cloud detail at all this time on the UV image, which goes to show how fortunate I have been previously.

1st image is with a Astronomik I/R 807 filter image, the 2nd with the Baader UV filter.
