Spacing distance for comma corrector

Not sure if this is the right place for this but.... Went out last night all fired up to try for an image of the Witches Broom but found out half way through my session that I had bad comma at the edges. I thought I had set the distance correct but must have moved it at some time. my question is, When setting the distance I know its from the chip but where to on the corrector? is it to the base of the corrector or the the glass?

Which corrector are you using Simmo? From what I've seen, most come with documentation which details the distance from the sensor to a specific external feature point on the corrector, such as a spacing ring shoulder.

Here's the Baader spacing for example, from chip to T-ring shoulder.

Hi Jon, Im using the SW comma corrector. I can find the details for other correctors and they are to the base but just want to con firm about the SW.

Typical, it seems the SW corrector has many people confused. There have been many threads asking the same question, this thread suggests 56mm to the front face of the glass, confirmed by SW to FLO.

All very confusing. I have just set it to 55mm from sensor to bottom plate of the corrector! seems I might need to adjust a little more. Thanks for the info.
