Kielder Star Camp Update

The following vendors will be at the main day of the Kielder Forest Star Camp on Saturday 1 November at Kielder Castle: Widescreen Centre, Rother Valley Optics, Zerochromat, Astrodevelopments, Astrosource, Astro-Trac, Ian King Imaging, Astronomica, Marshall Nightsky Ceilings and Intergalactic Cosmic Book Store. Talks will be by Ian King on astro photography and Nigel Metcalfe, Durham University. The main day is free and runs from 11am to 4pm. There’ll be a second hand stall and BBQ.

We have now opened a waiting list for pitches on the Kielder Campsite after reaching our 80-pitch capacity. Experience tells us that some pitches will become free before the event so if you would like to join us please do put your name down on the waiting list. Separate to this, the campsite management has installed two "pods" (basically small wooden chalets, very hobbitt-like) which they will let for star camp. They look extremely nice with room for two or three people, although they are non-hook up for this event. See attached image.
