I remember mine disappearing off the radar after a week from the dispatch date. I emailed Valentin who said it usually took 2 weeks. Neither of us could track the parcel until it had actually been delivered!

Thank you. Looks like we're in the same boat this time around as you were... I'll rest easy and let Valentin know it would appear to be the norm...

The P-mount is bubble wrapped etc but the outside wrapping is a white mail bag secured with a cable tie & with your & Valentin's addresses on it. Tracking & postal labels are on a luggage label tied round the top.

Wrapped thus I was relieved to get mine, but all was good!

I've also been looking at P-mounts recently, and came across this option from the Ukraine:

No idea how this would compare to the other commercially available options, but it looks reasonable value.

The Standard II PRO is now shown as discontinued. Current model is III PRO http://astrodevices.net/mounts/parallelogram-standard-iii-pro

  • 1 month later...

Yesterday buying a camera at LCE, I saw a nice condition pre-owned Manfrotto #075 tripod legs, and bought it.

Saw some on Harrison Telescopes site today https://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/pd/used-manfrotto--075-silver-tripod-legs_used-075-03?gclid=CjwKCAiAy4bTBRAvEiwAFtatHPzuStngWOajLB8QlHKcJOPVRiZqngXnkvIUESxKIXLOUos0E98C1xoCY9sQAvD_BwE

Strong and sturdy, just right for my Ukrainian parallelogram.
