Solar -- and Lunar? -- Funneling

Hi, quick question. I have made a working sun funnel. Will the same thing work, ie will it throw enough light to project an image onto a screen or piece of paper? I use two very basic telescopes, a 700mm refractor and a 1000mm reflector. I use a 25mm eyepiece for the Sun but am thinking of getting a 20mm.

Second question -- if I want to look for sunspots against the sun (using a funnel) or ISS transits against the sun or moon (with or without projector), should I use a filter and which one do you recommend?

Third question -- once I get good at spotting ISS transits, is there a way to use a cell camera to video it or am I really looking at more advance photographic equipment here>?
