Hi there, just wanted to share, first light with my effio-a & icx811 board camera two weeks ago. Due to full moon I turned the scope towards the moon and saturn.

Telescope was a bresser 127/1200 fitted with a diy focal reducer made from binocular 50mm objective giving aprox. 0.8 reduction, for the moon.

Next stop this weekend... M31 & M20 where, hopefully, I will have the reducer to camera distance adjusted to result to 0.6 - 0.5 reduction.

Not much luck this weekend...

I missed both m8 & m20 as they set behind trees this time of the year, should have tried them in June or July.

I did caught m31 though, but just the bright core, with no spiral detectable.

It seems that my diy focal reducer, being 50mm with rather long fl for reducing purposes, needs significant backfocus and I couldn't achieve any more reduction than 0.8-0.7.

I guess my next move is to buy a generic 0.5 fr.
