Caught the eclipse from the UK

Heard we would be getting a tiny bit of the eclipse earlier. Happened to look out the window as it was happening and noticed the dent (Obviously I looked for like 0.1 seconds, after that it was camera view screen viewing. Naughty me...)

I was out looking, but like Daz - 100% solid cloud. You could say that I saw the whole Sun 100% eclipsed.... I wouldn't be completely inaccurate! lol

Sunset adds another dimension to eclipses, even shallow partial eclipses. 

I'd really been hoping to see it myself, having an excellent seward western horizon. The clouds said "no"

I'm on holiday In Cornwall near Looe and had good conditions and a great view. Here's a laptop screen shot. Picture taken with dslr and 200mm zoom lens with self made solar film filter.

Was mostly ⛅ here but I'm convinced that I experienced a slight dimming of the ambient light levels which then increased. Probably just my imagination.
