People do this because they think party lights are pretty and cheerful. They even put them on for the neighbours to enjoy when they are not out themselves.

You'll gave to go talk to your neighbours, Michael, so good luck with the negotiations! Fortunately more often than not these things are solved to everyone's satisfaction.

Groan. My sympathies. Good luck with talking to them, I generally find people are very understanding, but I find the process of asking them rather stressful. I find the whole thing easier when they are already aware of my hobby and can understand why I am aksing. Usually they comply with pity and amusement!

There is some good news These lights are solar powered and now the nights are longer they run out of power well before bed time
