Just got back from a great holiday in the Dordogne. Great area loads to see and the night skies were amazing. Had to battle with loads of trees and campsite lights, but got some decent Milky Way shots and the odd Perseid meteor. All in all a great couple of weeks, startrails as well, though I struggled with dew and the lens clouding up very quickly. All from canon 1100d and stock 18-50mm lens on a simple gorillapod tripod.
