Filters for LED lighting pollution

As my local council are replacing more old low pressure sodium street lights (deep amber orange light) with glaring undiffused LED street lights (dazzling white), my filters are becoming less effective, as they are mainly for the sodium light pollution.

Please can anyone advise if there are filters can help with the LED lighting problem, far worse than anything apart from white mercury lighting.

The down side to the cheaper LED is that they have broad emission profiles which effectively cover the visible spectrum.

A bit like a full moon, all the time.

You can't effectively filter (LP filters etc) the broad band wavelengths..........
