There are so many lovely targets in the summer that is difficult to select just one!

I love to sail from Cepheus/Cygnus down to Scutum / Sagittarius / Scorpio and stopping for a while on every beautiful island I encounter!

Interesting, so in visual more than anything else Nebulae are the favorite objects, rather than star clusters and galaxies.:happy72: I can also see most of the answers, if not all, were from owners of big telescopes, dobson and so, and using filters. Nobody with a medium small telescope has a favorite DSO? :)  I know is not  easy, but nobody?

I'll be different; with my 3 inch 'frac, whilst I love the objects from M8 upwards, I always, every session will take a look at NGC 1502; it's a small open cluster at the base of an asterism of stars 'falling' into it. A good test of my eyes and conditions to find.  There are more interesting objects, but I love the view in the eyepiece.
