Light Pollution Filter

I remember seeing something called a "Light Pollution Filter" for sale, and I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried using something like that and if it works

You need to understand how a light pollution filter works. They are designed to exclude certain wavebands, as emitted by sodium or mercury streetlighting. They are totally useless against white LED streetlighting (increasingly used here), or other lamps that emit a continuous spectrum.

On the whole I do not find them very good, however, if you are looking for something that goes someway towards this the Baader Neodymium Filter is a useful piece of kit, more of an all-rounder.  None of the filters are 100% efficient but the Baader is surprisingly useful.
