EQ8 extension

Recommended Posts

We want to raise our pier mounted eq8 by 8 inches, are there any extensions out there or is it a case of getting one manufactured? Cheers

I certainly couldn't find one.  My mate Chris made this 15 cm one for me.  It's made out of a solid block of aluminium!

A picture of the setup would help. Could you just cast an 8 inch high concrete block on the floor and relocate the present setup on that?

I got my pier from Home Observatories. They made me an extension piece:

Any engineering shop should be able to knock one up for you. Is Graham at Astrotec still in business?
