PixInsight v1.8.5 released

Just found an email in my inbox this morning saying that PixInsight v1.8.5 has been just been released (a free update). For most software applications usually wait a few months before updating but as its PI I trust the code will have been fully tested.

For anyone interested I just downloaded the Windows .exe file and just ran it. I was not too sure if I needed to uninstall v1.8.4 first but it looks like it is just an update and not a core version, anyway it installed perfectly.

Lots of new features which I have no idea how to use but the main initial benefit will be an increase in performance, so we'll see.

It probably doesn't make any difference but you can update Pixinsight from within the current version. Just click on Resources tab and check for updates
