M31 processing

My try at this (very quick and dirty)

Pixinsight:

crop & dbe to reduce gradients

background neutralisation & colour calibration, using star field for white source

masked stretch x 4 up to a median level of 0.35 with 0 clipping followed by histogram transformation to bring the black point in

colour saturation with mask to protect background, several iterations

curves transformation

downsample and save

It's the clip in rather than the visual but i think the transmission curve is the same or similar. To be fair to myself, i would have removed it if i was targeting it from the start of the session but i just went there when the veil disappeared and i was too tired to re-focus!

The clip in filter is just different mechanically. The glass is the same, I think. For some of the filters on the Astronomik website, when clicking on the clip in filter for detail, you get redirected to the screw in filter for visual. So, I think they're basically the same.
