M31 Slowly improving at this photo lark..

This is a stack of L= 10x200 sec R,G,B = 10x60sec each. This was first light with the ED80, I was hoping that

swapping the 8 inch newt for a ED80 would mean the mount would no longer be overloaded and the thing

would guide. Well it seems like the overloading was the problem, just need to get the shed to get it all permanent.

the camera is an ATIK 16IC-s

Any comments welcome.

Thanks for the comments much appreciated, should be knocking out a fair few photos once the shed gets installed at the start of next month!

I will centre it next time honest! ( I was going for an artistic shot)

The trouble with M31 is that it's big and bright, to get the detail in the dust lanes you have to over expose the core.

There is quite a lot of detail in the dust lanes. With that camera scope combo you might need to do a two or three image mosaic.

Nice image though.
