m20 sagittarius

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. Uncomfortably low in the south and with PHD2 hitting a rms of 2 before the meridian, I thought a flip may improve matters. Ironic, as with the telescope approaching horizontal, we could go an hour or two west without danger. Anyway, enough for an hour's worth of snaps. Not happy with the blue but the detail from the fast reflector is encouraging. Comments, hints, tips, as ever... TIA and for looking.

both M8 & M20 just fit into the field of view

Hi. Yeah, I think if you get in quick you should manage it as by next new moon I think it's gonna be too low. Both fitted for me at 580mm and framing is quite easy as they are more or less north-south of each other. Do post back...

over saturated

Yeah, I agree. Here's a quick stretch-and-hope-for-the-best. Lost detail in the nebula but looks better from a distance. Dunno. Probably best to keep it simple. I'll try for another hour of snaps, maybe then it will be easier.
