The AZ Pronto will likely be too small for his 100mm f9 refractor (so too might the AZ5?) but as he will be assessing one it would be a shame for him to not have the other for comparison. 

Did John ever get around to putting these through their paces? Would be interesting to know his thoughts on the AZ5 and if it is robust enough to handle a modest F10 Frac.

No, within days a number of reviews/reports had already been posted at SGL so John felt there wasn't really anything he could add. 

Both mounts are now well known, you should have no difficulty finding thoughts and opinions.
