Celestron StarSense for Sky-Watcher - Save £50!

Recommended Posts

The Celestron StarSense for Sky-Watcher mounts is currently available with £50 discount

Was £395, now £345

StarSense allows a computerised Sky-Watcher mount to automatically align itself with the night sky.

No need for a laptop. The StarSense is a standalone device, the clever processing and wizardry is onboard.

The StarSense camera and hand control both plug into the interface box which in turn plugs into the mount's hand control port - in minutes your mount is aligned and ready to use.

Compatible with Sky-Watcher HEQ5, EQ6, AZ-EQ5, AZ-EQ6, EQ8 and AZ SynScan compatible mounts.

This gadget does intrigue me, but it's quite a bit to spend if you're not sure it will suit. I guess one way to try the tech out is to buy the Skyprodigy 70 package for £199 but this obviously limits the buyer to using small scopes with such a mount, so the above wins for bigger scopes :)
