Monday's prominent prominence

Hi all,

I managed to catch an hour of sunlight on Monday before the sky clouded over.  In addition to a small sunspot group, there was a large fan shaped (or broccoli shaped) prominence on the limb.  It seems a distant memory now that the rain is pouring down!

Off goes the report to the BAA.

Hi Mark,

That was with my 60mm Lunt.  I have just noticed, after your prompt, that I had omitted the equipment part from my notes on the picture!

Michael: thank you.  I must learn how to process the pictures using your contrast stretching technique to bring out the 3D perspective.  Mine looks so flat compared to the depth you can create with your approach.

And here is the refreshed image having used the curve tool to bring out the detail and give some depth.  What a difference!
