toxic
22 x 300 second eposures at binn 2 , 1 image for each panel i think this is where 2 x binning comes in handy. scope SW 200pds - atik 383l - SW-CC. i just wanted to see what it was like at 2 x binn in a big (for me) mosaic and i dont think its too bad for a total of 1 hour 50 minutes. thanks for looking and all cc welcome.
toxic
please excuse the bad math of the image at the top this is a 24 panel mosaic not a 22 panel i have added a grid to show the panels and to show how bad my manual alignment was while trying to capture the data not that easy when the only automation i have is guiding. stacked with dss to use flat and dark for each file then combined in MS ICE. then applied levels and curves in photo shop. one thing about MS ICE is some times it wont combine and some times it will depending on what image you start with so with this i had to start with verticle lines from 619 to 615 and then the next line then combine the verticle lines. anyway thanks for looking and all comments welcome Edited June 27, 2017 by toxic wrong picture

Uranium235
Good to see youve found binning useful with the 200pds since you still end up with quite a useable resolution. In regard to MS ICE, I had the same issues when trying to stitch a large mosaic. Sometimes the only way I could get it to work was by combining image quarters, or strips into halves - then combine the two halves to a whole. Once you get up to about 12+ panels, ICE can throw up some really wierd results!

swag72
This is an impressive mosaic ....... Mosaics can be so difficult to merge at times, sometimes I wonder whether the effort is worth it
