I did not expect anything other than a few token gaps today. There was plenty of cloud around all day, but somehow they avoided the sun long for me to grab a 12 pane mosaic!

The filaments that have looked so good for the past week or so are now turning into Filaprom's, of which I just about managed to capture one. The new A/R also was still looking good although my luck was beginning to run out by then.

The usual set up Lunt50 ds, Dmk21au618.

Liking the filaprom Pete. Nothing but clouds in Plymouth today. Shouldn't have been so smug yesterday.

Your second image shows beautifully how one of the surface filaments becomes an edge prom when the Sun rotates.....  hence the term 'filaprom' that Dave used above.

Very nice, both the disk and detail shots. There is even some flaring visible around that AR. No luck here at all, alas
