another lovely day, seeing still very good, odd bit of thin cloud about. the ARs are looking very nice today , only the one prom.

kit- ed80, quark chromo, asi120mc for HA, 120mm, lunt wedge, 1200d for WL.

Looking good Charl, had a squint through the LS60 but got my son arriving any minute with his old heap of a camper van to do more work on so may not get around to imaging.

Nice.... how long will the clear skies last ??....  how long will Charl's computer last ??.... there must be steam coming out of it.

On your second picture, looks like the filament is emanating from the spot in a plasma spiral.  Would that be the case ?

I did a quick session yesterday but was hampered by relations demanding jobs to be done. Still I noted the double centre to the spot and the lovely swirls of gas.

thanks Sean, it could be the case, its quite active. my pc can tek it, its my gaming rig, spec- 8 cores running at 4.2 ghz, 32 gb hyperX ram , 2x R9 gpus .cpu all watercooled, it runs VR and can do 4k no sweat, so a bit of processing is nothing to it. darn jobs round the home, you should of asked if you could do them tomorrow when its cloudy.  charl.

Lovely shots and processing. 2662 and filament look great.

I saw the split umbra of 2662 with the Equinox in white light quite well. Looked like cell division.
