Thanks for the heads up. I spotted a plage area in that neighbourhood yesterday. It must have developed considerably. May get a chance over lunch to see it

Yes, a super Ha Sun today visually, a bit of everything. 3 filaproms, several regular proms, a flaring AR, an impressive filament produced by yesterday's hedgerow prominence and a promising sunspot. Seeing and transparency good in the cloud gaps easily standing the 150x which is the minimum I can get with my solar scopes setup. The downside is the very strong wind that is blowing directly through the obs slit is shaking the telescope.

thanks Peter, yes very exciting stuff sadly i didnt get any vis today, im down to about a hour and 40 min when sol in range ,and with the cloud i only just got my shots, hopefully ill get a bit of vis tomorrow, hope sol keeps putting on a show and that new AR develops. clear sky charl.
