this would make a good widefield over a 10min exposure:

In almost exactly the same place!

Unfortunately I'm not keen on the idea of waking up at 3am to capture it...

Andrew, it certainly is at that. I don't get that pairing though as I'm too far South. I have seen predictions showing 2 flares within 10 seconds of each other and about 4 degrees apart. Of course, the clouds have always spoilt those oppos for me so far.
