I spotted the comet last night with my Tak 100mm. I didn't realise that it was at perihelion though.

I totally forgot about Comet Johnson when I was on my honeymoon and would have had some ideal conditions to have another look with it located in the north over the Indian ocean.  Oh well.  Had some nice views at Astrocamp back in April.

Had another look at it last night, really hard to find, luckily it was near a little trio of mag' 4/5 stars.

This mag' thing is very confusing, M5 a short hop away and quoted similar mag' was easy to find.

Not been the easiest of comets to find especially with the moon earlier in the week. Last night was probably the easiest due to its proximity to those three stars but it was cloudy here
