NA and Pelican HA - testing the QHY163m

The oft-imaged pair grabbed by my new QHY163m last night. Nikkor ed180 lens, Baader 7nm HA , 15x600s, G10 OS70.

Nice one rich. That qhy is the same as the asi 1600 right?

Thank you sir! Yes, the same sensor as the ASI.

Many thanks Steve! The more I use the CMOS chip the more I like it. I've been quite conservative with the gain to try and keep the DR high, especially on bright objects like the NAN.

I have seen some amazing images taken using lots of short exposures at higher gain with this chip - I wish UK skies would give us more time to experiment!

Many thanks! I've got a couple of Jupiter 37As so am definitely going to get some wide shots of the Cygnus region this year, weather and skies permitting
