chiltonstar
While waiting for Saturn to rise enough, I've been revisiting many nice Cygnus doubles the last couple of evenings. The seeing has been close to excellent, with Lambda Cyg for example showing as a beautiful primary, with a bright pinpoint alongside it (separation 1.0 arcsec). With such good seeing I've had a few goes at Beta Cyg A - the bright orange one of Albireo - which has a companion 0.4 arcsec away; theoretically, my 180mm should be able to show elongation but obviously not a split (30" + required), for example, an Aberrator simulation:- The elongation was visible at x540, and the PA appeared about right. Anyone else tried it?? Chris

Tonight looks good though and no work tomorrow
