Another famous Galilean, Callisto is a bit annoying to photograph because it has a much smaller albedo than the other satellites of Jupiter.
I did not have the same success as with Europe because I believe that the darkest central spot should be some optical phenomenon and not a real spot that stood out in photos because it has a much more homogeneous tone surface.
However, I believe that the Heimdall crater may be perfectly recognized as a lighter stain near the south pole. In these cases, when a light spot is very close to the limbus, a small bump occurs in the photo, this is very evident when filming Io that practically never leaves round but rather quite oval.
I'm training to get a better picture the day that seeing resolve to help, so at least I'll already know the capture parameters that I should use on each of the giant's moons.

That's an absolute cracker -,I agree with Dave even better than europa. Callisto is definitely my favourite, not just because of it's cool name but because it's the only one I can point to through the scope to my friends and family and always (nearly) positively identify!

This is a neat, little software-program that will show you the positions of the Moons and the GRS* at anytime you wish:

Thank you to everyone who gives me the honor of commenting!
Dave, I use WinJUpos a lot to know the position of the Moons and anything on any planet the moment it takes: http://jupos.org/gh/download.htm
Another very good software to get details of the planetary surface or the main moons is the Virtual Planet Atlas: http://www.ap-i.net/avp/en/download
