Peter Drew Posted May 10, 2017 Share Posted May 10, 2017 I would suspect some sort of tuning issue, no dark objects that size on the Sun and they would have to be dust elephants. Are you sure you were on the solar image?, if not centred you can pick up a false image off axis with solar telescopes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tony G Posted May 10, 2017 Share Posted May 10, 2017 (edited) My system is finiky but that's odd what you have going on. Have you tried the camera on another scope? Rule out one of the two, I don't see how it could be the scope unless you are on a ghost image that I have yet to see but have read about. Those scopes pour some bright light.
