Sol HA, Proms, WL, 8-5-17 09.00ish

Recommended Posts

nice and sunny here again in south wales, seeings ok but not the best but it could be due to thermals rising up the side of my house, its very warm today.

AR2654 is nearly gone, AR2655 is still there but no spots visable in WL or HA just the snakey stuff, two nice sets of proms on both sides of Sol.

hope you all have clear skys, thanks for looking, charl.

on coming limb.

Sun shining on the righteous again Charl, yet another cloudy day here, don't know what I've done to upset the sun god.

Nice pic's BTW.

Nice set.   I do like a prom with a  'plume'  structure.  Gives the idea of a convective current, but I suppose it is all magnetic.

Good day all, still working on fine tuning my set up.
Attached is aggressive (first) and soft (last) processing.
End image is with a focal reducer, no filter, which resulted in more aggressive processing to bring out details.
I was very impressed with the Baader 685 IR pass filter.
Comments welcome. Thanks for looking/reading and clear skies.

Hello guys as you see i am new in the forums and im starting my stargazing adventure.I want to use my telescope as an astronomical and a terrestrial telescope so preferably a mak or a refractor. My budget is 450 dollars for both telescope and tripod.
I already found one good telescope http://skywatcher.com/product/bk-1206az3/ Its the skywatcher 120/600.
