nice and sunny here again in south wales, seeings ok but not the best but it could be due to thermals rising up the side of my house, its very warm today.

AR2654 is nearly gone, AR2655 is still there but no spots visable in WL or HA just the snakey stuff, two nice sets of proms on both sides of Sol.

Sun shining on the righteous again Charl, yet another cloudy day here, don't know what I've done to upset the sun god.

Nice set.   I do like a prom with a  'plume'  structure.  Gives the idea of a convective current, but I suppose it is all magnetic.

thanks Michael, in the vis in WL I could just see AR2654s spot, it dosnt show in my image. hope you have some clear, charl.

thanks Valleyman, you will get shots as good if not better with your setup mate, it takes a wee bit of time to get to know all the ins and outs of your ha kit, ive only had my quark 3 months , I'm still learning. clear skys, charl.

      Good day all, still working on fine tuning my set up.
      Attached is aggressive (first) and soft (last) processing.
      End image is with a focal reducer, no filter, which resulted in more aggressive processing to bring out details.
      I was very impressed with the Baader 685 IR pass filter.
      Comments welcome. Thanks for looking/reading and clear skies.

      Hello guys as you see i am new in the forums and im starting my stargazing adventure.I want to use my telescope as an astronomical and a terrestrial telescope so preferably a mak or a refractor.My budget is 450 dollars for both telescope and tripod.
      I already found one good telescope http://skywatcher.com/product/bk-1206az3/ Its the skywatcher 120/600.

      at last I can see the sun, and ar2665 is still there only just, theres a few proms scattered around the disc, no large ones. seeing is okish but theres a bit of thin cloud about but I'm just happy to get a few shots.
      kit ed80 quark asi12mc for HA, 120mm lunt wedge 1200d for WL.

      sunny here today in south wales, seeing not great but not bad so lets say fair. theres a nice active prom at the top of the disc, theres another on the bottom but quite faint, theres a few filaments aswell, theres a bright spot on the oncoming limb at 7 oclockish what looks interesting. WL is blank..
      same old kit. thanks for looking. clear skys, charl.

      Sunny again thismorrning, seeings betterthan yesterday but far from great ,Quite hazy. no large proms , just a few mid sized. AR2664  is about gone . very little to see in WL.  
      kit- ed80, quark, asi120mc for HA, 120MM, Lunt wedge, 1200d for WL.
