NGC 5576 is the brightest and largest of a trio of galaxies that includes NGC 5577 and NGC 5574. NGC 5576 is an E2 elliptical with a bright halo containing a circular core and a stellar nucleus.

NGC 5574 is a 13th magnitude galaxy and a small satellite of NGC 5576. NGC 5574 is a S0 barred spiral. It has a moderately faint halo containing a very faint stellar nucleus.

NGC 5577, the faintest member of the galaxy trio, is a Sb barred spiral. It is highly elongated with a diffuse streak along the center of its major axis. NGC 5577 is flanked by a 14th magnitude star 30 arc seconds to the northwest. (SkySafari)
