Two reprocesses of my 60 Mpixel lunar mosaic from April 29

I found the brightness of the 12-pane 60 Mpixel lunar mosaic I made this Saturday a bit low, giving a dull appearance to the image. I tried two potential improvements: i) simple linear stretch of the grey-scale range, and ii) stretch plus adding a bit of nonlinearity (much like increasing gamma a bit).

I think I slightly prefer the linear stretch, but it may depend heavily on the screen used. They really need to be seen at full resolution

I agree I too prefer the linear stretch image. Like you say you need to see it in full resolution but it does need some computer muscle to view it.

The Nonlinear for me, seems a little bit more 'dimensional' as The Present Mrs Foster would say.
