SpaceX live launch 1300 hrs

Live launch of SpaceX rocket at 1300 UT, not a very exciting satellite but will be interesting to see if the first stage lands successfully.

Launch has now been put off until tomorrow 11.00 UT

I've had a word with them and they've postponed it until tomorrow 1300 UT. especially for you Charl

I find that Space Launch Now is a useful app on the tablet, gives countdowns and alerts for upcoming launches, plus links to live streams etc.  Also have the SpaceX Now app.

We have lift off, just got to land now,

Pretty impressive bit of technology, flown itself home and landed

It  is the landing of the first stage in an area not much bigger that two football fields that I find absolutely amazing.

That was great to watch.
Takes me back to watching the Apollo and Shuttle launches, good and sadly bad.
Looks like Space X are getting it all together.

The rate of descent always looks too high until very late - also true of Blue Origin!

Is it just me, or does each of these 'land landings' - as opposed to the ship 'deck-landings' - look as if its slightly off dead centre of the pad each time?
