PatrickGilliland
Nicely done Steve, is it that blue? I have never processed rest of colour in frame says so (star colours look good). Interesting little target.

But if Patrick Gilliland thinks my colours are too bold, then maybe there is something amiss!! Seriously, I had a look around the t'Interweb. I didn't find that many versions. The best ones I found were: http://annesastronomynews.com/annes-image-of-the-day-spiral-galaxy-ngc-4395/ and http://www.bf-astro.com/ngc4395/ngc4395.jpg My version was loosely based on those, especially the first one (the second one seemed to have a touch of the greens). I didn't 'manipulate' the colour in any way other than the usual stuff and some (minimal) PS saturation techniques. Do you reckon it is off? The colour does look fine accross the image using stars as reference - more curioisity than comment.
ollypenrice
Utterly gorgeous. The net consensus and the rest of the image support your blue arms (which have something of the Legs of Man about them!) This is a perfect capture and a perfect processing job to my eye, and the target is a thriller. Olly
