Fantastic, Avani! Last night (midnight on the 22nd), I caught the wonderful synchrony of the transit of the GRS and Ganymede. You can see the shadow of Ganymede on the northern limb and the GRS in the lower middle of the planet. I'll just have to stack this:

Cool the video Reegie!
One can clearly notice the traffic.
It is noticed that his seeing this night was quite deficient, even with a much bigger increase I have had the happiness of seeing much better, which has allowed to obtain these photos that I am posting.

Maybe it's the effect caused by the dark edge. So is the impression of a ball, not a disc.

Sounds convincing - I think you're quite right. Next time I'm processing Jupiter I'll bear this effect in mind.
